FINE ARTS AN UNCONVENTIONAL FIELD OF STUDY

Fine arts are one of the most unconventional fields of study.  Not many, most of our older generation to be precise, had ever shown keen interest in this field. Fine art or any kind of art for that matter has always been very territorial in nature. Down south, the Bengal in the western plains and then our hilly states, the seven sisters are blessed with a sort of uncanny madness for different art forms as compared to the rest of the India. During the early and later medieval period, art patrons whether Indian Kings or The East Indian Company had jointly given us some glorious art heritage to be proud of for the rest of our lives.

Indian art and architecture presents to the world the lavish interest of our kings in art. The colossal palaces, intricate craftsmanship, the royal clothes and their finer utilities, all narrate a story beyond imagination. It’s so fascinating to even imagine how the craftsman. Artists worked with such precision and in so much of details that too with hands. One could just wish to travel back in times to witness such magnanimous artistry.

In spite of no formal training in painting, we had so many renowned painters in the past. Raja Ravi Verma was one amongst them. The Raja of Travancore and then his will helped him become what he is now known as, the most celebrated painter, who is credited to bring oil colours as the medium of painting and also bring The Indian Gods and Goddess to life by giving them face.

We are much blessed to have top fine art institute and colleges which conducts admission in Diploma in fine arts in Delhi which is a one year course specially for gap year students who want to prepare themselves for BFA Entrance exams for reputed central and state universities offering BFA 4 yrs Undergraduate course to those who clear their entrance exams.
